Our school participated in the Shell Eco Marathon contest which took place in Nogaro - a city of France- between 11 – 13 May 2007 for the 3rd time. The 17 students who took place in this project completed it in 7 months along with consultancy of the project coordinator Nurettin Yaman, the head of our chemistry department Meryem Leblebici and with the support of Reşat Saravin and facilities of our school. On 09-05-2007 our project coordinator and six students went to Nogaro.

257 teams of high school and university levels from 19 countries joined to the Shell Eco Marathon contest aiming to go furthest with the least fuel. Our school was 110th in the general ranking, 86th in the gasoline users category and 44th in all high schools. Our school got the best result among the 8 high school teams from Turkey.
