Educational Approach

The middle school years, which last from the age of 11 to 14, are a period when a student changes and develops rapidly in almost all aspects.

With this in mind, ourprogrammes are structured around a student- centered approach that takes student needs into consideration.  Students are treated as individuals in order to support their development and maximize their potential. It is essential that the classes areconnected to daily life and based on experience. The curricula are enriched with the help of modern educational developments.

Auditory and visual tools are so important in terms of ensuring that learning is permanent. Thus, pedagogy-led education technologies are integrated into the curricula.

Students’ social, cultural, and psychological developments are important as well as their academic progress. Therefore, student learning and students’ psychological development are continuously monitored. Action is taken and parent cooperation is sought to ensure our students continue to improve. Within our approach it is essential to build interdisciplinary connections and assessments. Thus, students learn how to learn as they acquire knowledge that will be so necessary for them in theirhigh school and college years.

One of our key beliefs, is that teaching and learning should be well structured so that “curious individuals who can learn, use what they learn, and have advanced problem- solving skills” can be raised.

With this end in mind, “Education through Research” is given priority in our education programmes that teach learning and problem- solving. Projects are very important for the learning process because theyhelp students in all grade-levels acquire research, reporting, presentation, analytical thinking, and teamwork skills.

Within the framework of the approach “learning through producing ” it is very important to work on and share knowledge and other products not just projects .

This “active learning” approach aims to help students take an active role in the learning process because we know that the more the students ask questions, discuss, do experiments, observe, and take part in group work, the more learning opportunities that are permanent and accurate they will have.

The aim of our education programme is to develop internationally minded people who, recognizing their common humanity and shared guardianship of the planet, help to create a better and more peaceful world.

Our students work to acquire the following attributes that help them;

  • Tap into their natural curiosity; acquire inquiry and research skills; become independent learners; enjoy being active while learning and continue to have this curiosity in the rest of their lives
