The International Baccalaureate Organization was established as a non-commercial organization in Geneva, Switzerland in 1968. Since then it is the most competent, rational, and functional education program accepted all over the world. The purpose of the foundation was to help students who continue their high school or higher education in a country other than their native countries have their curriculum offered in a common and universal framework.

The IB Diploma Programme is a comprehensive, pre-university programme that lasts two years and is offered to students aged 16-19.

High school students with high motivation who chose this programme are entitled to get the IB diploma with international validity after sitting the exams at the end of two years and being successful at the assignments and essays they prepare.

The diploma programme implemented in national schools in Turkey is offered in a way that meets the requirements of the Ministry of Education by taking into consideration the academic system in place before entering a university.

The aim of all IB programs is to develop internationally minded people who, recognizing their common humanity and shared guardianship of the planet, help to create a better and more peaceful world.

To this end the organization works with schools, governments, and international organizations to develop challenging programmes of international education and rigorous assessment.

These programmes encourage students across the world to become active, compassionate and lifelong learners who understand that other people, with their differences, can also be right.
