Terakki’s Foreign Languages Department celebrated the tenth anniversary of their Eaquals* (Evaluation and Accreditation of Quality Language Services) accreditation, which symbolizes their sustained commitment to excellence in language education.
Celebrations took place in our Cultural Centre foyers on Wednesday April 16th at our Levent Campus, and on Wednesday May 14th at our Tepeören Campus.
Terakki, which received its first Eaquals accreditation in 2015, becoming the first K-12 school in Istanbul to receive this accreditation, has maintained its accreditation through three subsequent periodic inspections over the years.
Celebrations included a congratulatory video message from Eaquals Director Lou McLaughlin, and a voxpop of foreign language teachers and administrators from both campuses sharing their experiences and perspectives on the Eaquals process and the value of being an accredited Eaquals school. This was followed by a quiz all about Terakki and Eaquals. These shared experiences reinforced a sense of institutional belonging and reiterated our commitment to quality.
This special celebration, which emphasized all Foreign Languages Department members’ contribution to the process and their embracement of Eaquals principles, was a motivating experience for Terakki and raised awareness of the process and its value to us.
* Eaquals is an international, independent organization that aims to ensure quality in language education institutions worldwide.
