Our Students’ Success in “Quantum Computing” Training

Our high school IBDP students completed the “Quantum Computing” training programme which was hosted by IBM between October 2020 and May 2021. The students completed this training with a minimum 70% success rate, thus becoming eligible for a certificate.

This training programme, by MIT and Oxford quantum scientists, was aimed at high school and higher education students who  did not have any prior knowledge or experience in quantum computing. Our students attended Qubits “Introduction to Quantum Computing”, which consisted of live lessons, lab sessions, and problem sets.

Within the scope of this training, our students worked on concepts such as linear algebra, quantum mechanics, quantum algorithms and the basics of quantum computing with topics that included quantum applications. Our students were given professional support by IBM and MIT throughout the training, and joined an international network of communication.
